IMPORTANT STATEMENTS ABOUT THE ANDALUCIA TOURS POLICY

Participants are not guaranteed a place on the Andalucia tour without paying a 30% deposit. Payment of your deposit will be taken as your acceptance of these terms and conditions and will constitute a contract between yourself and Sol y Sombra Tours Ltd. The full balance of your chosen tour fee is due by the date specified on the invoice sent to you after registering. As we need to make numerous early payments to reserve the best accommodations, entrance tickets, flights and transport we have an early cut-off date for booking the Andalucia tours.

It is the responsibility of the participant to be fully aware of the Sol y Sombra tour policies and other information on the Sol y Sombra tours website and to ask any questions about anything which may not be fully understood. Your registration for your tour includes acceptance of these terms.

EARLYBIRD DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS

Your deposit confirms your registration, this is applied to the total cost of your tour in Andalucia. To receive early bird pricing participants must register and pay their deposit by the date specified for qualifying. We request the balance of fees to be made to Sol y Sombra Tours Ltd by the final balance due date specified as per your invoice for the tour. Participants are not guaranteed a place on a tour without the paid deposit. We also reserve the right to extend the early bird offer. However, as our tour groups are for a maximum of 6-8 people they usually book out early. We suggest you register your interest and join our VIP waitlist in the first instance so you can receive updates prior to booking.

PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS

Payment of your 30% deposit will be taken as your acceptance of these terms and conditions and will constitute a contract between yourself and Sol y Sombra Tours Ltd. The full balance of the Andalucia tour fee is due by or before the date specified when invoiced to you. We request payment to be made through IMT to either our ANZ business account or to our ‘Wise’ account as we have found their foreign exchange transfer fees are very reasonable.

CANCELLATION REFUNDS:

Deposits are non-refundable* (with the exception of our guarantee ) However, if payment has been made in full, 50% of the tour fee will be refunded for cancellations made by participants prior to 90 days before the commencement of your tour. Within 90 days of the commencement of your Andalucia tour, all payments are non-refundable.

OUR GUARANTEE

Should Sol y Sombra Tours, be unable to proceed with the Andalucia tour prior to arrival in Spain, deposits and payments made for the Andalucia tour will be refunded in full to participants upon cancellation- with the exception of force majeure as described below.

CHANGES TO ITINERARY

Sometimes it’s necessary to make changes due to circumstances beyond our control. We like to be flexible and reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary schedule if necessary - for example, If there are weather changes, the days may be interchanged to enable us to enjoy everything as specified during your tour. * Where accommodation or transportation is changed we will provide alternate accommodation or transport of equal quality.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES

The Andalucia tours begin in Granada where we visit the Alhambra palaces and Generalife. The Andalucia tour ends as an arrival and a drop-off day. We meet you at 1 pm at Malaga train station. Departure time is 10 am on the last day to arrive at Malaga train station at around 1 pm.

Please Note: We provide transportation via a Mercedes van or similar vehicle to and from Malaga train station to Granada on arrival and then from Ronda on departure day, this is included in the Andalucia tour fee.

PASSPORTS, VISAS

It is the sole responsibility of participants to obtain the travel documents (passports, visas, etc.) necessary to attend their chosen tour. For questions relating to current entry requirements from your country of origin to Spain, please check with your travel agent prior to booking.

INSURANCE

Because of numerous early payments, to reserve accommodation, tickets for the Alhambra and transportation, down payments and tour fees cannot be refunded within 90 days of the commencement of your tour. Therefore; It is the sole responsibility of the tour participants to obtain comprehensive travel and health insurance as soon as they enrol for the tour. This is widely available at a low cost to the participant and highly recommended in the event that you have to cancel participation for some unforeseen circumstance.

MISCELLANEOUS

Wine and finos are moderately served with tapas on occasion, but this is not free-flowing. Consumption of alcohol accompanied by tapas and food is an enjoyable part of the experience but excessive drinking during the tours is not allowed because of the risk of accidents, etc.

SMOKING

We have a non-smoking policy.

LIABILITY

Neither Sol y Sombra Tours Ltd, Alexandra Heyes nor Grant Kenny shall be liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by any tour participants. Sol y Sombra Tours Ltd assumes no liability for any loss, damage, expense, injury or inconvenience by reason of any defects in the structure of the property, plumbing, electrical systems, gas, water or failures in the supply of utilities for either the tour facilities or accommodation. For any loss or damage to the accommodation and its contents or grounds of the accommodation caused by tour participants, the cost of repair or replacement will be paid by the participant to Sol y Sombra Tours Ltd which will then be paid to the accommodation owners, or our suppliers as the case may be. You agree to indemnify us against further liable action in this event or from any other third party.

FORCE MAJEURE

Refunds do not apply when your tour is cancelled as a result of the risk of war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions and similar events beyond our control.

MISADVENTURE

We will take all possible care to ensure your trip is safe. We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage you may suffer during the period of your tour due to accident, illness, bodily injury or loss of equipment, belongings or any other cause. This should be covered under your comprehensive travel insurance. You agree to indemnify us against further liable action in this event or from any other third party.

REMOVAL

Sol y Sombra Tours directors reserve the right to remove any disruptive participant from the retreat and/or accommodation without a refund.

DATES, DEADLINE AND NOTIFICATIONS DATES, 

Payment can be made either by direct deposit IMT or through Wise transfer. ( We recommend payment through Wise as the fees are much lower than bank fees. It is also a great card to use when travelling to save on cash withdrawal fees as you can load multiple currencies. ) 

Registration for specific tours may be extended based on availability.

Final Payment Deadline – As per your invoice.

Notifications will be made promptly in the event of any necessary changes to the Andalucia tour.
