Festivals you never knew existed

The festival of Cascamorras is one of the best and not so known about festivals in Spain. We arrived the day of the festival of Las Cascamorras in Guadix, Spain. Guadix and Baza are two neighbouring towns and rivals in the provence of Jaen and region of Andalucia. They fight for the possession of a statue of the Virgin de la Piedad. They cover themselves in earth pigments and throw water at each other whilst being chased by a man wielding a club made from sackcloth through the streets. All the village take part and it's the kind of fun that takes you back to the 'bull rush' days of your childhood.

Our tours focus on meeting the people in these wonderful villages who make our experience so exciting and memorable. Their hospitality and warmth make visiting this region of  Andalucia an essential to tick off your unique holiday list. Our next tour starts from the 16th to the 28th of September 2016, so be quick to reserve your place as we have limited spaces.
