Our Passion

Simply put, we love Spain. If you are looking for a tour that combines memorable highlights, relaxation, exciting walks in National parks, culture, enjoying great food, wine and conversation with like-minded individuals then our tours are designed for you.

We discovered a desire for a more unique tour experience. Our knowledge of where to find that memorable meal, the best tapas bars, boutique Hotels and accommodation ensures you will have a wonderful experience.

As knowledgeable guides we understand the language, having lived in Spain and travelled extensively in Europe, nothing will get 'lost in translation', so to speak. As professional painters and tutors with works in private collections around the world, both Grant and Alex enjoy sharing their extensive practical knowledge of painting and Art History.

Grant enthuses those who meet him with his passionate, entertaining and funny anecdotes and insatiable love of Spanish cuisine, especially fresh seafood. His knowledge of the local culture, language and history will take you not only on a tour but on a journey through time to appreciate not just the history but the warmth and passion of Spanish people. Having studied painting in Madrid at the Circulo de Bellas Artes,he then settled into life in Madrid for 5 years. Grant painted commissions in the Museo del Prado and also the National Gallery in London.

Alexandra’s passion for cooking, choosing organic food where possible means we are always finding new and wonderful tapas bars. One of her favourite Spanish dishes is ‘Pimentos del Padron’ ( Salted green peppers cooked in a little olive oil, sometimes you get a hot one, which is not too hot, but a fabulous surprise! ) Sharing local delicacies and authentic Andalucían cuisine during our tours, ensures that each day always ends with great food, wine and company. You will discover as we have the warmth and hospitality of the Spanish people is second to none!

The ultimate value of life depends on awareness and the power of contemplation,
rather than upon mere survival
