We are now accepting registration for the Art Retreat in Andalucia, Spain.
We ask in the first instance that you register your interest (join the waitlist). After you have registered we like to meet you via a Zoom or Facetime call to answer any questions you may have and learn more about your art practice and expectations.

DAY ATTENDANCE
We offer an option to join the art retreat for individual days for those who live in Malaga or who have their own accommodation. To learn more about this and the fees for each day ( excluding accommodation ) please ask us when you reserve your place below.
THE ARTIST RETREAT IN RONDA ANDALUCIA INCLUDES
Introductory drinks and tapas.
Luxurious accommodations in 4-star hotels, boutique hotels or private villas.
Beautiful twin share or Double rooms.
NB: All rooms have double or twin beds and can be booked either as a couple or single
Breakfasts and lunches, including a variety of fine wines and finos, ( in moderation ) are served with meals. ( Meals and refreshments during day excursions are not included )
Farewell dinner
Laundry facilities (a washing machine and iron) are available at the villas and some hotels.
Easels for painting on location can be supplied if required subject to advance notice*
Land and travel costs during the retreat for excursions.
Excursions to some of Andalucia’s most beautiful Pueblos Blancos.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ART RETREATS
Airline tickets. ( These must be arranged from your country of origin. ) Comprehensive Travel Insurance is a mandatory requirement. Lost or stolen luggage or other costs due to travel during the tour or airline disruptions. Other entry tickets for museums and other events you choose to visit that are not specified on the Art Retreat itinerary. Taxi fares to and from the point of arrival and departure for the Retreats. Communication or business charges in hotels or villas. (All our accommodation has free Wi-Fi) Breakfasts and some catered meals are included during the Art Retreats, however, when we eat out at restaurants and cafes, these are not included. Hotel mini bar costs are not included - (Please advise us if you choose to use the mini-bar as the cost of this is additional and must be paid by you at the hotel ). Laundry services eg dry cleaning.
Please note: It is every participant’s responsibility to arrange transportation of their completed work home after the retreat.
ART RETREAT POLICY

Registration for your desired art retreat is based on availability and registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Both art retreats include arrival and departure days and painting days in either Granada (1) or in and around Ronda (2), excursions to nearby white villages, breakfasts and lunches at our accommodations. As lunch is generally the main meal of the day in Spain, evening meals are much lighter and consist of either tapas or eating out at local cafes, (eating out at cafes, is not included in the art retreat fee).
Please Note: We provide transportation from Malaga train station to the accommodation and back to Malaga train station on departure day, this is included in both of the art retreats.
All rooms are twin or double ( a single supplement applies ). Partners are welcome as there are numerous activities and places to visit in Granada and Ronda.
It is the responsibility of the participant to be fully aware of the art retreat policies and to ask any questions about anything which may not be fully understood. Your registration for the art retreat includes acceptance of these terms.
ART RETREAT FEES
Participants are not guaranteed a place in the art retreats without a paid deposit of 30% Payment of your deposit will be taken as acceptance of these terms and conditions and will constitute a contract between yourself and Sol y Sombra Tours Ltd. Please familiarise yourself with all the terms and policies about the art retreats listed above.
After you have confirmed your booking with us an invoice for 30% deposit will be sent to you including payment information, and the itinerary. Payment of the deposit confirms your reservation. This payment is applied to the total cost of your chosen art retreat.
Because we need to confirm numerous bookings for accommodations, entrance tickets, and events, we request the balance of fees to be made to Sol y Sombra Tours Ltd as soon as possible and/or as specified on your invoice.
Payment can be made through our secure booking system or by IMT to our ANZ bank account or through our ‘Wise’ account as we have found their foreign exchange transfer fees are very reasonable. We will advise what the Art Retreat fees are in NZD at the time of invoicing after you confirm your registration. If you would like to pay by credit card or in another currency don't hesitate to get in touch with us for payment information.
DATES, DEADLINES AND NOTIFICATIONS
Registration for specific retreats may be extended based on availability.
NB * Early Bird Specials ( To receive the early bird pricing participants must register and pay their deposit by the date specified or as agreed by us when joining the waitlist or booking. )
