Goya's Madrid Tour

(9 days)

The Golden Triangle of Art Museums

•Museo del Prado•Reina Sofia•Thyssen - Bornemisza•Museo Sorolla •San Antonio de la Florida

An exciting guided tour of Madrid, with day excursions to Toledo, Segovia, Cuenca and El Escorial. During this Tour in Madrid, visit the magnificent golden triangle of art and experience Madrid's wonderful tapas. Our small group tours allow for a maximum of 8 persons, enabling us to travel to places less visited, that you would not find on more traditional tours. Grant studied painting in Madrid at the Circulo de Bellas Artes, in the Museo del Prado and enjoys sharing his extensive knowledge of Spanish Art making this tour not only informative but also full of those little extras that you wouldn't find on other tours in Madrid.

The Excursions

•Toledo•Segovia•Cuenca•El Escorial

The incredible Roman aqueduct in Segovia was still being used until relatively recently and is a fine example of Roman engineering. The hanging houses of Cuenca are unique and are one of the last examples of this type of architecture in Spain. The wealth of the Palace in El Escorial, along with a very fine Art collection is impressive to say the least. Finally the fascinating old Capital -Toledo, with its masterpieces by El Greco, will reveal why Madrid and it's surrounds holds such a fascination for those who are interested in Culture, Cuisine and History.
