Guadix - ‘Surprising and delightful’
From the Alpujarras we drove to Guadix, a quirky, somewhat eccentric town with cave dwellings carved out of soft sandstone rock. The centre of town has a magnificent Renaissance Cathedral constructed in rich red sandstone. The Cueva Museo (Cave Museum) has a series of domestic rooms that have been beautifully restored and furnished in a traditional manner, giving a glimpse into the history of this unique Troglodyte town. We travel to Guadix on our Andalucia East Tour and we are taking bookings now for 2016, so be an 'early bird' and contact us to secure your spot, as we have limited places.
